"Rubber Duckie, You're the One..."
When Bethany first came home from the hospital, we weren't supposed to allow her umbilical cord stump to get wet. Consequently, she only received bird baths until her stump healed. Bath time caused a lot of squawking, probably because she was cold. The exception was shampooing. Bethany loved having her hair washed at the sink. She would sigh and relax as soon as the warm water hit her head.
Bethany ready for her bird bath...and not too thrilled
Now, Bethany has a full-fledged belly button (and a very cute one, too, I might add). She can take real baths in her baby bathtub. Those are definitely much more pleasant for her. She likes sitting in the warm water and feeling the water splash on her. She still likes having her hair washed. What a girl!
A much happier (and slightly more modest) Bethany at bath time.
